EastEnders' Louisa Lytton reveals which co-star she thinks should appear in Strictly Come Dancing...
She’s not havin’ a bubble, she’s serious…
The sixteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing may only be a month in, but EastEnders star and former contestant Louisa Lytton is already looking ahead to series seventeen, and reckons a certain cast member should get on their dancing shoes and take part.
And the actor she thinks should show off their moves? None other than Danny Dyer – better known as Walford’s Mick Carter.
Says Louisa: “Do you know what, Danny Dyer would be really fun. Can you imagine? I reckon he’d do really well.
“He’s so loveable; the audience would absolutely love him. He’d just go for it and wear all the sequins. He wouldn’t care.”
29 year old Louisa, who recently returned to EastEnders as Ruby Allen, took part in series four of Strictly Come Dancing in 2006. She was just 17 years old at the time, and remains the youngest ever competitor.
Reflecting on the experience, she tells us: “It’s the best thing I’ve ever done – I’d do it every single year if I could. The dream is to be on the show as a presenter now. I just love it so much!

“I’ve always wanted to dance. I’ve done musicals, as dancing was always something I loved, so to just be on a show learning how to dance was amazing. I still speak to Vincent (dance partner Vincent Simone) and still babysit his kids.”
If Danny Dyer was to take part in the BBC1 show, there’d be no shortage of people whom he could turn to for advice. Ten members of the current EastEnders cast have previously donned the fake tan and sequins and tried to impress the judges with their fancy footwork.
Louisa, of course, is one. The other nine are Davood Ghadami (Kush Kazemi) Tameka Empson (Kim Fox-Hubbard) Kellie Bright (Linda Carter), Jake Wood (Max Branning), Scott Maslen (Jack Branning), Natalie Cassidy (Sonia Jackson) Jessie Wallace (Kat Slater), Gillian Taylforth (Kathy Beale) and Letitia Dean (Sharon Mitchell).
