Emmerdale confirms that THIS favourite character has been RECAST
Emmerdale has announced the character Ellis Chapman has been recast...
It has been confirmed that actor Aaron Anthony has joined the cast of Emmerdale as the new face of regular character Ellis Chapman.
Soap fans will remember that Asan N'Jie, who played the role of Ellis for a year, was sacked from Emmerdale after an incident with Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas at the TV Choice Awards in September.
At the time, Asan addressed his actions on Twitter: "All the people who have reached out and had my back you'll never know how much I appreciate you.
"I've learned, I've grown and now I'm working harder than ever to finish what I started. Keep your circle tight and always fall forward! The universe tends to unfold as it should."
On screen Asan's departure was explained when Ellis headed over to Dubai to work with his mum Jessie, who fled out there after her marriage with Marlon ended after she cheated with Al Chapman.

But it seems his time working as a PE assistant in a school in Dubai isn't working out as Ellis had hoped, because he will soon be back in the village with a new look.
Emmerdale has announced that Ellis will be back on screen in December, with him making a comeback to the village unannounced, just as tensions between his dad Al and his brother Billy threaten to boil over.
Actor Aaron Anthony has said of his new role: "Emmerdale is a cracking show with a brilliant cast that I'm over the moon to now be a part of.
"I know Ellis is a well-loved character and I'm looking forward to continuing his journey and all that's in store for him."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
