New career? Strictly's Judge Rinder could be set to appear on Emmerdale
The TV star has some connections to the soap
He's better known for laying down the law when it comes to family disputes, but it looks like Judge Rinder could be set for a whole new career.
In fact, Emmerdale's Louisa Clein has hinted that the former Strictly Come Dancing star might bag a cameo in the soap.
The actress - who plays Maya Cavanagh - has been friends with Judge Rinder - real name Robert - for years, and says he'd be a perfect addition to the village.
Speaking to the Mirror, she said: "Robert has been fantastic. His knowledge of the TV industry is extensive so he’s been helping me through it with fashion tips. He’s always been a rock in my life.
"I’m trying my best to tempt him on to a soap. He’d be great on Emmerdale."
Louisa, 39, and Judge Rinder have been good friends for years. Not only did the telly star set the actress up with her husband Jeremy, but he was even best man when they got married in 2011.

Meanwhile, Louisa - who joined the ITV soap in June - has been causing a stir in the dales already as she’s currently embroiled in a love triangle between David Metcalfe and his wife Tracey.
And in scenes to be aired next week, married Maya gets herself into even more trouble when she ends up ends up bedding David.
As the drama on screen continues, Louisa opened up about joining Emmerdale and has praised her co-stars for all their hard work.
“There’s no snobbery,” she said. “Working on a soap is a massive eye-opener, seeing how hard every-one works. The schedules come out so fast that you have to train your brain to learn quickly. All my contemporaries were extremely excited and supportive of me.”
She added: “Soaps are an incredible place for women of all ages because it’s following real life. It’s an amazing platform.”
