Emmerdale's much-loved Dingle family will be at the centre of the drama in an unmissable week of betrayal and secrets as an infamous Dingles Court exposes a killer after Craig Reed (Ben Addis) is found murdered.

Recently, a traumatised Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) opened up to her loved ones about being sexually assaulted by her childhood friend Craig.

Her heartbroken family were furious, with her husband Sam Dingle (James Hooton) and his brother Cain (Jeff Hordley) vowing to sort Craig out the "Dingle way".

In upcoming scenes, Craig is found dead and all the Dingles find themselves suspects as Lydia is determined to solve the crime.

At a lock-in in the Woolpack, Lydia questions their whereabouts on the night of Craig's death.

Through a series of flashbacks, the truth begins to emerge, revealing a tangled web of events leading up to his demise. As the layers of deception are peeled away, the truth will be revealed to the audience in a week where the only certainty is that nothing is as it seems.

Emmerdale Producer Laura Shaw said: “In an unmissable special week for Emmerdale, we focus on Soaps most loved family, the Dingles, as Lydia attempts to find out who killed Craig. Expertly and innovatively directed by Gary Williams, the infamous Woolpack becomes centre stage for the group of Dingles gathered to reveal their alibis… or no alibi as the case may be!

"Stepping out of the usual Emmerdale style, a series of flashbacks will let the viewers in on the lies each person has told and the secrets they are hiding. The week will truly keep everyone on the edge of their seats with each day more and more explosive secrets revealed that promise to have huge repercussions, shatter lives and cause fireworks in the Dingles bigger than ever seen before.”

On Monday, October 30, Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) is horrified as he stares down at Craig's bloodied and lifeless body he finds on the fields at Home Farm.

In the Woolpack, the Dingles are gathered together as Lydia announces the shocking news that Craig is dead. The stunned family think about what could have happened to Craig, but Lydia is adamant that one of them is responsible for his death.

Knowing that Sam and Cain held Craig hostage in a remote barn, Lydia starts her investigation by focusing on their whereabouts and in a series of flashbacks we find out what happened at the barn.

After listening to Cain and Sam, Lydia continues her search to find out who killed Craig until the room shifts focus onto another suspect — Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).

Belle's caught out in her alibi and flashback scenes show Belle recount her day with boyfriend Tom King (James Chase), who proposed to Belle after a romantic meal.

However, Belle’s not giving a true account of the full day. What is she hiding and will the Dingles rumble her lies?

Lydia then focuses her attention on Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), who fights back when the Dingles press him for his alibi.

Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) is uneasy when Aaron points her out instead. In a flashback to the previous day, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) and Charity discuss the Craig situation, but the conversation soon moves to another matter as Charity isn’t being honest about her exchange.

Caleb Miligan (William Ash) and Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) also share their account of the day. But in flashback scenes we see what really happened — just what is Caleb hiding?

Next, Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) and Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) are thrust into the hot seat, where it's apparent that an emotional Mandy is hiding a secret, but just what is she keeping back from her family?

Marlon speaks about his day as we flashback to what really happened. However, Marlon chooses to not disclose a big piece of information.

Despite everyone's alibi being established, Lydia remains troubled that someone is lying. Unable to bear her upset, a guilt-ridden Sam reveals there’s more to his version of events and we finally find out what really happened to Craig that night.
