Eoghan Quigg 'thrilled' with debut album (VIDEO)
X Factor finalist Eoghan Quigg is thrilled to be releasing his debut album at just 16 years' old. Eoghan, from Dungiven, Northern Ireland, who came third in the ITV1 talent search in 2008, told whatsontv.co.uk: "Not too many 16-year-old kids can say 'My album's out today' but I'm saying it and I'm really happy about it." Asked about what fans can expect from his self-titled album, Eoghan said: "Loads of stuff from [The X Factor], a few covers and an original song in there as well." The lead track on the album is 28,000 Friends. "It's about the social networking system at the minute and the fact that we've all got thousands of friends, who actually aren't even our friends," he explained. While Eoghan's debut effort features mainly cover versions of classic songs, he hopes to write more of his own material in the future. He said: "If [this album] sells really well and we do a second album, we can write for it." Eoghan's debut album, Eoghan Quigg, is out now. CLICK below to watch an interview with Eoghan Quigg
