Actor Sid Owen, best known for playing popular character Ricky Butcher in EastEnders, is joining fellow ex-Walford star Louisa Lytton in the upcoming third series of Channels 4’s The Jump.

The pair are donning their ski-gear and heading off to the Austrian Alps where they’ll be up against some stiff competition. On the boys’ side are Olympic gold medal-winning 100m sprinter Linford Christie, ex-Westlife singer Brian McFadden, Made in Chelsea star Mark-Francis Vandelli, TOWIE’s James ‘Arg’ Argent, and Superman himself, Dean Cain.

Lining up alongside Louisa, who played gangster’s daughter Ruby Allen in the Walford soap, are Holby City actress Tina Hobley, Olympic gold medal-winning swimmer Rebecca Adlington, Girls Aloud star and actress Sarah Harding, Olympic bronze medal-winning gymnast Beth Tweddle and ‘It Girl’ Tamara Beckwith.

Davina McCall is back as host as the celebs vie to secure the Cowbell trophy, won last year by Joey Essex. She’ll also no doubt be revelling in the behind-the-scenes gossip as this year’s batch of celebs not only have to hurl themselves down the terrifying slopes but also have to live together in what’s being called a contestant ‘palace’. Sounds unlikely…

Meantime, can anyone hear a shout of Rickaaay?
