Fern Britton to return for 'This Morning' birthday
Fern Britton is being lined up for a return to the This Morning sofa - to help the show celebrate its birthday, according to the papers. The Mirror reports that Fern - who quit the show in July - will feature in plans for the daytime show's 21st birthday special. She will appear in footage highlighting the success of the ITV1 show over the past two decades - and show bosses are also considering asking her back in person, or to deliver a video message of congratulations to Phillip Schofield and new presenter Holly Willoughby. "Holly and Phil will leave the celebrations," a source told the paper, "but Fern has been such a big part of This Morning that she will appear a lot too." "And if Fern is willing to take a bigger part, it is likely she could end up there in person." The show will return to screens next month and celebrates its birthday in October. However Holly - who has already worked with Phillip Schofield as co-host of Dancing On Ice - may join the series a week late due to her X Factor commitments.
