Our FIRST LOOK: Ex Casualty, EastEnders and Downton Abbey stars in new ITV drama The Level

Missing Casualty favourites Suzanne Packer, and Jane Hazelgrove? What about Rob James-Collier, better known as butler Thomas Barrow from Downton Abbey? And who doesn't want to see another side to Lindsey Coulson, formerly Carol Jackson of EastEnders?

Well we’ve good news – they’re all due back on our screens soon in ITV's new crime drama, The Level.

Both Suzanne Packer, who played Casualty nurse Tess Bateman, and Jane Hazelgrove, who portrayed paramedic Dixie, are set to join a whole host of familiar faces in ITV’s new fast-paced crime drama.

Filmed in Brighton and London, ITV’s The Level tells the tense tale of DS Nancy Devlin (Karla Crome, Prisoners Wives). Nancy leads a shady double life – not only is she an exemplary detective, she’s also secretly protecting criminal businessman and drug trafficker Frank Le Saux (Philip Glenister). Frank’s her best mate’s dad, and the father figure Nancy never had!

Other big names attached to the six-part series include Silent Witness leading lady Amanda Burton and ex-EastEnders favourite. Laura Haddock (Luther) play’s Frank’s daughter, Hayley.
