Echoing the footie theme, James Nesbitt’s character Adam Williams is seen watching a game in the pub with his son, Matthew, who is played by BBC Radio 1 presenter Ceallach Spellman.
The original run of Cold Feet focused on the lives of three couples, each facing their own troubles in love. The hit series was a major success for ITV and screened from November 1998 to March 2003.
The eagerly anticipated sixth series will consist of eight episodes and is being filmed on location in Manchester and produced by ITV studios owned Big Talk, whose credits include British comedy films Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and sci-fi comedy Paul.

Northern Irishman James Nesbitt most recently portrayed killer Colin Howell in ITV thriller The Secret and co-star with returning favourites, Fay Ripley, Robert Bathurst, Hermione Norris and John Thomson.
However Helen Baxendale who played Rachel Bradley, the wife of Adam and mother to William, will not return after being killed off at the end of the fifth series in a car crash.
The revival was announced in November last year and is set to screen on ITV later this year, but no official date has been announced.
