Streaming hardware has a strong showing at the Future Tech Awards!
The hot tech was just half the story at CES 2020. Even more important was the inaugural Future Tech Awards!
CES 2020 has come and gone. The tech is all packed up and (hopefully) on its way to a store near you.
But perhaps more important was that more than 100 winners were crowned in the inaugural Future Tech Awards , and we inducted the first members of the Future Tech Hall of Fame , recognizing the lifetime achievements of the following individuals:
- Lisa Su, President, and CEO, AMD
- Jason Johnson, Co-founder and CEO, August Home
- Marques Brownlee, MKBHD
CES has morphed into a telelvision-first event, with some of the most spectacular displays of displays you've ever seen. From rotating screens to curved designs that almost make you forget that you're looking at a TV, to the latest in actual consumer products that you can actually purchase. (To say nothing of actually being able to afford them in the first place.)
In the Readers Choice end of things, The TCL 6-Series and LG C9 OLED televisions each took home awards, as did the Bose 500 Soundbar and Apple TV 4K. On the Future Choice side of things, the stunning TCL 8-Series wowed everyone, as did the upgraded Bose 700 Soundbar.
Future 50 recognized the achievements of 50 individuals in 2019, highlighting them as being at the forefront of technology and listing them as key people to watch in 2020. The winners include:
- Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus
- David Glickman, CEO of Mint Mobile
- Jon Rettinger, influencer at Jon4Lakers
