Gary Barlow and Cheryl Cole were among a host of music and TV stars who took part in Monday's spectacular Diamond Jubilee concert outside Buckingham Palace. The current X Factor judge teamed up with the former X Factor judge during one of the highlights of the show, when the pair performed the Lady Antebellum song Need You Now - and Cheryl defied her critics by singing live. Cheryl said of her involvement, "I'm just honoured to be here - firstly to sing for our Queen and be part of such a special day, and secondly to sing with Gary Barlow. Other stars taking to the stage included Tom Jones - fresh from his victory on The Voice - who sang a medley of his greatest hits including Delilah and Mama Told Me Not To Come, while fellow Voice judges Jessie J - clad in a patriotic Union Jack dress - and Will.i.am sang the Black Eyed Peas hit I Gotta Feeling. Meanwhile Kylie Minogue paired up with former Britain's Got Talent finalists Flawless as she worked her way through a medley of her greatest hits. Others who took part in the show included Gareth Malone's Military Wives choir - who recently topped the charts with their song Wherever You Are - Sir Elton John, Ed Sheeran, JLS, Cliff Richard, and Sir Paul McCartney, who rounded the show off with a set of his best-known songs, followed by a spectacular firework display. A host of TV personalities were also on hand to introduce the acts, among them comedians Lenny Henry and Peter Kay - who met the Queen wearing a specially made Beefeater costume. "She asked where I got it," he said. "I had it made, for £100, in Rawtenstall. It was surreal - like a big, posh school play." The show took place in front of a crowd of 18,000 people - 8,000 of whom were invited guests, and 10,000 of whom won tickets in a special ballot.
