Gary Lineker ‘CONFIRMS’ Ian Wright is set to appear on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
The new series begins on Sunday 17 November
Gary Lineker has appeared to confirm that Ian Wright is heading to the Australian jungle as a new campmate for the 2019 series of I’m A Celebrity.
During Saturday evening’s Match Of The Day, Gary couldn’t resist teasing Ian throughout the entire programme by cracking jokes about the jungle.
Ian has been rumoured to become one of this year’s campmates since June, but has been banned from confirming or denying his involvement.
Gary’s teasing started as he quizzed Ian about his whereabouts later this month, with I’m A Celeb scheduled to start on ITV on 17 November.
He then alluded to him "passing all the trials" asking: ""You all right Ian, I’m not bugging you?"
A not too subtle Gary then remarked how Norwich City had “come out of the jungle that is the Championship,” - causing Ian to burst into laughter.

Gary also ended the show saying: "Wrighty's off to eat leaves."
Viewers watching at home took Gary’s jibes as confirmation of Ian’s appearance, with one tweeting: “Gary Lineker teasing Ian Wright by making low-key jungle references is absolutely hilarious. Wright almost burst out laughing at that last one.”
Another said: “Gary lineker just confirmed Ian Wright is going in.”
And a third added: “Gary Lineker is confirming that Ian Wright is going to be in I’m A Celebrity with all his jungle references on #MOTD."
Meanwhile, Coronation Street favourite Andrew Whyment, aka Kirk Sutherland in the ITV soap, is reportedly the latest star to have signed up for this year’s I’m A Celebrity.
The Sun reports that the 38-year-old actor, who’s also known for his part in The Royle Family, has agreed to head into the Australian jungle when the reality hit returns later this month.
Other stars rumoured to be heading off Down Under include another Coronation Street star, Lucy Fallon (Bethany Platt), Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway, ex Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle and Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe.
A source told The Sun: “Producers are really pleased with the line-up so far, with just a couple of faces to unveil.
“There’s a chance they’ll add a couple more but in previous years they’ve stuck at ten with one or two to follow.
“They were chuffed to get Andrew as viewers have watched him on Coronation Street for the best part of two decades, yet know nothing about him away from Kirk.”
