It sounds like George will be watching the England game!

Casualty star George Rainsford reckons viewers who tune in at 8pm tonight to watch his guest appearance in Holby City are, well, idiots - but dedicated ones!

The 35-year-old actor, who appears in this evening’s Holby City as Dr Ethan Hardy, thinks viewers must be really “dedicated” Holby fans to miss the England game being shown at the same time on ITV

George declared: “So if you watch Holby live this week, you’re basically an idiot. But a dedicated one!”

Many "dedicated" Holby fans soon declared that they would indeed be missing the England game to watch their favourite medical drama, one said: "I would rather watch Holby City better entertainment." Another wrote: "Football. I'm a Holby City fan. Football is the last thing on my agenda!"

We have already revealed that Ethan will have to deal with some big emotions in tonight's Holby City.

It certainly sounds like George will be watching England take on Croatia! While Holby City hasn't been moved in the schedules tonight, Our Girl has been cancelled and given a new time slot.

Meanwhile, Holby City fans will be pleased to hear that next week the show will be returning to its regular Tuesday night slot.
