EastEnders is set to revisit Stacey Fowler's sexual abuse at the hands of Archie Mitchell next week as she tries to get some closure on what happened to her all those years ago.
Fans of EastEnders will remember that Archie raped Stacey back in 2009, but as she gives evidence at Ruby Allen's court case next week, memories that Stacey has tried to keep buried start to come flooding back.
As the start of Ruby's trial begins, she is terrified about whether she will get justice against her attackers, Matt and Ross.
But Stacey is by her best friend's side all the way, and supports her in her moment of need.
After Ruby has bravely given her side of the story in the trial, it is Stacey's turn to give evidence, but as she is grilled on the stand, memories of what happened with Archie rear their ugly head and she starts to crumble.
Stacey is horrified that she might have messed things up for Ruby's case, but Ruby understands how hard it was for her friend to take to the stand.
As the women have a heart-to-heart, Stacey confesses that she never had the chance to face her attacker like Ruby is, and so she never got the closure on what happened like she deserved.
Stacey's words give Ruby an idea, and she takes her friend to Archie's grave so that she can say all the things she wanted to say to him almost ten years ago.
After saying her piece to Archie, Stacey feels better after having laid her demons to rest, and Ruby realises that she needs to do the same thing.
Deciding to face her fears, she goes back to court to hear Matt and Ross's testimonies... but while Ross copes with being questioned, it is clear that Matt is struggling and starts to buckle under the pressure.
Will Ruby get the justice she deserves, or is this just another twist in her horrifying ordeal at the hands of Matt and Ross?
EastEnders airs Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
