Leicester’s Jamie Vardy said “Being fans of the show ourselves, we can’t wait to join the Gogglebox families and hope that together we can raise vital funds and awareness for Stand Up To Cancer”.
Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain added, “With one in two of us developing cancer in our lifetime, it’s so important for us to join together and do as much as we can. This very special edition of the TV review programme will join some famous faces as they gawp and gossip at the week’s TV. Between their own cutting remarks, tears and laughter will be the views of the genuine Gogglebox households including retired Leon and June, hairdressers Christopher and Stephen and Derby family the Siddiquis.
This year’s Celebrity Gogglebox – the third of its kind – is even more poignant as it will be the first celebrity special without the celebrated narration of Caroline Aherne, who died from cancer in July and to whome the show will be dedicated.
