Hawkins is Eurovision frontrunner
The UK will choose its Eurovision entry on Saturday night - with Justin Hawkins, who's duetting with Beverlei Brown, the bookies' favourite. The former frontman of glam rock band The Darkness is one of six acts vying for the public vote in BBC One's Eurovision: Making Your Mind Up. He's quoted at 6-4 with William Hill bookmakers. Ex-East 17 star Brian Harvey and ex-Atomic Kitten Liz McLarnon are also bidding to represent the UK. The other contenders are hip-hop group Big Brovaz, pop quartet Scooch and newcomer Cyndi. They will perform live in Saturday's show and the public will choose the winner, to be announced in a later show at 9.30pm. This year's contest takes place in Helsinki, Finland, in May with a record 42 countries taking part. Eurovision veteran Sir Terry Wogan will once again host the BBC's coverage.
