It's not the first time the actress has graced our screens...
It's not unusual for familiar faces to crop up in soaps when we least expect it, and that's exactly what happened earlier this week in Coronation Street when Sinead and Daniel went to visit a hospice.
The newlyweds have been given the devastating news that Sinead only has months to live now that her cancer has spread to her lymph nodes and liver, and they're trying to prepare themselves for when the inevitable happens.
But while Sinead is all business and trying to make things as easy for Daniel and the rest of her loved ones by planning as much as she can, Daniel is still in denial over what is to come.

When Sinead and Daniel visited the hospice on Monday night's double bill of Coronation Street, Sinead found the place welcoming, but Daniel took longer to warm to the idea of Sinead moving in when the time came.
Sinead was happy with the news she would be allowed to take Bertie in to the hospice with her, but while she was clearly considering the reality of going to live there for her final days, it was all too much for poor Daniel.
The pair chatted to a lovely nurse called Sheila, who told them about the practicalities of moving to the hospice... and eagle-eyed soap fans might have recognised the actress as Helen Sheals, who has been in the soap before.
Back in 2009 Helen played the role of Lilly Richardson, the mum of Ben Richardson who just happened to be Sophie Webster's teenage sweetheart.
Not only has Helen got Coronation Street on her CV, but TV fans will also remember she played Mrs Wigan the post mistress in Downton Abbey, and has also appeared in TV shows like Silent Witness, Brookside, Casualty and Holby City.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
