Holby City legend Rosie Marcel shares this amazing throwback snap of herself aged 12!
'No one believes me when I say I’ve been acting for 39 years'
Holby City favourite Rosie Marcel has shared a wonderful snap of herself aged just 12 when she starred in ITV’s The Castle of Adventure.
As Holby City prepares for Tuesday’s massive 1000th episode, Rosie, who plays Jac Naylor, took to Instagram to post an old promotional shot for one of her earliest ever parts in the adaptation of the famous Enid Blyton story.
The 42-year-old star – who’s sporting a headband and leaning against the tree in the picture - quipped that no one seems to believe her when she said she was a child actor long before her days on Holby as Jac.
“No one believes me when I say I’ve been acting for 39 years. Here’s me at 12 playing Dinah in castle of adventure. What fun we had,” she wrote.
Fans reacted with delighted to the photo. “Oh my god you look tiny, but also like you haven’t changed a bit…” said one. Another wrote: “This brings back memories, can remember seeing this. Reading the books too.”
The Castle of Adventure, which ran for eight parts in 1990, boasted a great cast, including Susan George and Brian Blessed. It was also directed by Rosie’s father, Terry Marcel.
