Holby City star Amy Lennox on Chloe's trauma as Evan turns VIOLENT!
Holby City's Chloe Godard heads off to pal Cameron’s family cottage for some much-needed time on her own. But it soon transpires she's not alone, as Amy Lennox reveals…
It's been a tough few weeks for Chloe Godard in Holby City as she's endured the torment of her intimidating estranged husband, Evan Crowhurst. And, just when the medic thinks she's finally free of him, next week, events take a terrifying turn.
As she arrives at Cameron's family cottage in the countryside, Chloe is thrilled that she's finally managed to escape her stalker husband and lets out a cry of relief in a nearby field.
"Chloe really does think she’s totally on her own there," reveals Amy Lennox, who plays her. "I think she's probably enjoying the peace and the isolation. Her mum Ange even rings her and says: 'I really hope you're actually relaxing and not doing any work'. But, Chloe just LOVES her work. So her way of being lost in it all is being lost in her work. So at that point Chloe's very happy and just enjoying her own time."
Chloe is blissfully unaware, however, that evil Evan (Jack Ryder) has been tracking her car, so her joy is short-lived when he suddenly turns up!
At first, it seems he's come in peace, and suggests they enjoy a drink but Evan’s sinister side soon emerges…
"It's a whole new level of threatening behaviour," says Amy. "Evan's holding a knife to cut a lime for a drink – but is the knife just for the lime?"

As they talk outside, Chloe grows more and more uncomfortable by his presence...
Meanwhile, Evan's ex Sophie is admitted to the hospital, badly bruised and struggling to breathe. And it's not long before Nicky manages to get her to confess that it was Evan who beat her… and she fears he'll do the same to Chloe!
Back at the cottage, Evan makes it clear he's not letting Chloe go without a fight. As Chloe desperately tries to flee, a battle ensues and someone gets seriously hurt. But is it Chloe – or Evan?
"When Chloe tries to escape, this is when the cat-and-mouse game really begins," reveals Amy. "This is when it gets incredibly messy… and incredibly violent!"
Holby City continues Tuesdays at 8pm on BBC1.
