A new character is set to join Hollyoaks this autumn. Rishi Nair, who starred in BBC drama New Tricks, will join the cast as Sami Maalik, half brother to Yasmine and Farrah.
Hollyoaks has announced a new character is set to join the soap this autumn.
Actor Rishi Nair will be joining the cast as Sami Maalik, half-brother to Yasmine and Farrah Maalik and step-son to Misbah Maalik.
Rishi, who starred in the play adaptation of The Jungle Book and BBC drama New Tricks, will play the role of suave, strident and charming Sami who is the eldest of the Maalik family.
He first arrives in the village to be reunited with his family and get a job at James Nightingale’s law firm, but his job hunt is all part of an ulterior motive…
Speaking about his new role, Rishi said, “I am really excited to be joining Hollyoaks and everyone has been so welcoming and lovely since the moment I have arrived.
"I can’t wait for everyone to see Sami on screen and see him reunite with the Maalik family.”
