Hollyoaks actress Gemma Merna has revealed that she is letting her fiance plan her wedding - despite her onscreen alter ego doing the opposite. While her Hollyoaks character Carmel Valentine loved arranging her nuptials to Calvin (Ricky Whittle), Gemma told Closer Magazine that her future husband, property developer Ian Minton, was organising their big day. "He's super organised and I'm laid back, so I'll be letting him do the planning," the 26-year-old said. "I'd like something small and relaxed." However Gemma added that the one thing she was not keen on was a beach wedding. "My fiance and I got engaged in the Maldives and wanted a beach wedding, but I hate the heat." She also revealed that along with her and Ian's family and close friends, members of the Hollyoaks cast would be among the guests.
