Sunny stars TV actress Rashida Jones as Suzie, an American expat living in Japan as the wife of a robotics engineer. When her husband and son mysteriously vanish in a plane crash, Suzie is gifted one of these robots to comfort her... but what starts as an annoying assistant eventually becomes a friend and confidant... and a helper when Suzie begins to investigate the disappearance of her family.

Alongside Jones you'll see many big-name Japanese personalities rounding out the cast including Hidetoshi Nishijima (Drive My Car), Judy Ongg (American Pastime) and Jun Junimura (The Wailing). Emma Approved's Joanna Sotomura will voice the robot Sunny itself.

Sunny is based on the 2018 novel The Dark Manual and was made by several companies including beloved studio A24.

If you're interested in catching Sunny here's everything you need to know to watch it, including where it'll be released and when each episode will come out.
