Socially distanced filming isn't the only change for the 2020 helping of our favourite baking show, because new face Matt Lucas has joined the gang, replacing Sandi Toksvig.
Little Britain star, Matt, has teamed up with Noel Fielding to present the show, while hard-to-please judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood are back to cast their critical eyes over the Victoria sponges.
Amazingly, the eleventh series of The Great British Bake Off - which is currently on Channel 4 - managed to kick off filming despite lockdown restrictions. Episode seven, which is being shown on Tuesday 3rd November at 8pm, has a 1980s theme.
The judges want the bakers to reimagine ice-cream cakes - and this is a bigger challenge than you might think as the tent is apparently boiling hot!

Who won Great British Bake Off 2019?
David Atherton, an international health advisor, was crowned the 2019 champion. Atherton wasn’t the favourite going into the final, but his showstopper called Peachy PicNik proved a winner.
Why did Sandi Toksvig leave the Great British Bake Off?
Sandi told us: “Like bread, everything has a shelf life I did three years and I loved the team and Prue will always be a life long friend, but I’m 62 years old and I have a lot to do and decided it was probably enough meringue for me!”
Claire is Assistant Managing Editor at What To Watch and has been a journalist for over 15 years, writing about everything from soaps and TV to beauty, entertainment, and even the Royal Family. After starting her career at a soap magazine, she ended up staying for 13 years, and over that time she’s pulled pints in the Rovers Return, sung karaoke in the Emmerdale village hall, taken a stroll around Albert Square, and visited Summer Bay Surf Club in sunny Australia.
After learning some tricks of the trade at websites Digital Spy, Entertainment Daily, and Woman & Home, Claire landed a role at What’s On TV and whattowatch.com writing about all things TV and film, with a particular love for Aussie soaps, Strictly Come Dancing and Bake Off.
She’s interviewed everyone from June Brown — AKA Dot Cotton — to Michelle Keegan, swapped cooking tips with baking legend Mary Berry backstage at the NTAs, and danced the night away with soap stars at countless awards bashes. There’s not a lot she doesn’t know about soaps and TV and can be very handy when a soapy question comes up in a pub quiz!
As well as all things soap-related, Claire also loves running, spa breaks, days out with her kids, and getting lost in a good book.
