There's a family secret ready to be discovered in today's Home and Away...
Karen Thompson is set to have her dark past return to haunt her in today's Home and Away when she finally comes face-to-face with Mackenzie Booth... her son's half sister.
Until now, Dean Thompson has managed to keep his mum and his sister apart. But as the days go by, it starts to look increasingly like Karen is in Summer Bay to stay, and Ziggy Astoni tells Dean it is time to come clean.
But of course Dean doesn't listen to a word his wise girlfriend has to say and he has fought to keep sister Mackenzie a secret from Karen.
However, Summer Bay isn't a big town and of course it was only a matter of time before the women came face-to-face... and it seems Dean was right to try and keep them apart.
Karen's history with Dean's father Rick Booth is a dark one, with him upping and leaving before Dean even knew him, leaving Dean and his mum to face the future alone as a pair.
However, while Dean has come to realise that Mackenzie is on the same page as him when it comes to their father, Karen is adamant that anyone with a connection to Rick is bad news.
Today's Home and Away (6pm, see our TV guide for full listings) sees Karen on the hunt for a job... and when she doesn't have any luck at the juice bar or the diner, she widens her search as far as Salt.
However, little does she know the owner of Salt isn't just her son's boss... she is also her son's sister!
While Karen is in the dark about Mackenzie, Mackenzie knows exactly who Karen is and is determined to make a good impression.

But when karen arrives in the restaurant looking for work, Mackenzie struggles to let her down gently without telling her exactly who she is.
Eventually Dean arrives and Mackenzie couldn't look more relieved to see her brother... and Dean realises it is time to come clean and drops the bombshell on Karen that Mackenzie is Rick's daughter.
Understandably the news doesn't go down well and tomorrow's Home and Away will see Karen explode as her dark past comes back to haunt her.
Has Dean been right all along that this news about Mackenzie is what will send his mum over the edge again?
