You won’t believe which TV star is ‘in talks’ to appear on this year’s I’m A Celebrity
What a U-turn that would be…
I’m A Celebrity sadly lost two of its Extra Camp presenters after Joe Swash and Scarlett Moffatt announced on Saturday that they wouldn’t be returning to host the spin-off show this year.
But that doesn’t mean viewers can’t get excited about the potential campmates being lined-up for the new series.
In fact, according to reports, I'm A Celebrity bosses have their eye on one TV star in particular who they would love to see in the jungle – Ulrika Jonsson.
The 51-year-old, who announced in April she was to divorce husband of 11 years Brian Monet, is said to be in talks to appear in the 2019 series.
“Ulrika has been through a lot in the past few years. And now that she is getting divorced she feels the time is right for a new challenge,” a source claimed to The Sun.
“The Australian jungle certainly fits that description. And she knows that if she signs, it will be the first of many new TV contracts coming her way.

“Ulrika is keen to throw herself back into her presenting work full time and she feels that this could be the right first step for her.”
The insider added: “ITV bosses think she could be a great fit for the jungle, as she won’t hold back when it comes to getting stuck into the challenges.
“After she spoke so candidly about the break-down of her decade long marriage recently, they also think viewers will find her very relatable.”
However, if Ulrika does sign on the dotted line, it would mark a huge U-turn for her. In 2008 she claimed she would never appear on I'm A Celebrity and even criticised former camper Myleene Klass.
She said at the time: “I know it’s a lot of money, and it’s been known to enhance the most paralysed of careers – Myleene Klass – but I don’t like the thought of being stuck in the same rainforest as Robert Kilroy-Snake.”
