Is Home & Away's Esther leaving for Hollywood?
Home and Away star Esther Anderson is reportedly leaving her role as Charlie Buckton. The 32-year-old, who plays the popular police sergeant, has apparently quit the Australian soap in order to try her luck in Hollywood in 2012, following fellow actresses Melissa George and Isla Fisher, according to Australian paper The Telegraph. Home and Away producer Cameron Welsh refused to comment on the speculation over the actress's future, writing on Twitter: "Sorry folks, haven't seen the paper and I don't comment on cast rumours." There has been no confirmation as to how Esther would make her soap exit, although her character's romance with River Boy Brax (Steve Peacocke) could see them leaving Summer Bay. Since she joined the cast in 2008, the former model - who has denied rumours that she is dating Steve in real life - has been involved in some exciting storylines including a controversial lesbian relationship with Joey Collins (Kate Bell) in 2009.
