Jade Goody leaves hospital
Reality TV star Jade Goody has left the Royal Marsden Hospital in London two weeks after undergoing a hysterectomy. The former Big Brother housemate had the operation after being told she had cervical cancer, while taking part in the Indian reality show Bigg Boss. She will be spending the weekend with her young sons Freddie and Bobby, but will have to return to hospital on Monday to begin her chemotherapy treatment. "She is going to be at home with her boys," her spokeswoman said. "She can't wait to see them." Jade faces a year of chemotherapy and radiotherapy after being given the devastating news that the cancer had spread to the sac around her abdominal organs. Doctors have given her a 50 per cent chance of recovery from the disease. The 27-year-old now faces the task of telling her sons about her illness. A friend told the Mirror, "She is bracing herself for some horrendous treatment but she is more worried about the boys.Until now she has done her best to shelter them by telling them she has a bad tummy." "Now she knows she also has to begin to prepare them. She is determined to have a few days enjoying a normal life with the boys before she sits them down to explain in a way they will understand."
