Jennie McAlpine drops HUGE hint Fiz is finally returning to Coronation Street
Jennie plays Fiz Stape in the ITV soap
Jennie McAlpine hasn’t been seen on the cobbles since December 2018 – but now the actress has dropped a huge hint that she’s finally returning to Coronation Street.
The 35-year-old – who plays Fiz Stape – was written out of the soap late last year so she could go on maternity leave, with her character last seen heading to Birmingham with her on-screen child Hope.
Fiz and Hope have been there ever since, with Fiz sending Hope to a school that specialises in educating children with behaviour problems like her daughter’s.
But after welcoming her second child, daughter Hilda, with husband Chris Farr in October 2018, Jennie appears to be ready to head back to Weatherfield.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, Jennie dropped a huge clue that her return is imminent as she shared a snap of a Corrie script – although a well-placed cuppa conveniently obscured any other clues regarding her comeback.
"Friday night reading 🙈," she wrote in the pic's caption. "Hoping it’s just like riding a bike #itsbeenawhile."

Jennie revealed her second pregnancy shortly after her stint in I’m A Celebrity in 2017.
Revealing the birth of her daughter on Twitter in October, she wrote at the time: "Our newest addition arrived yesterday. Mummy and Daddy very happy. Big brother very proud of his little sister Hilda. We're all in love."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV
