Jeremy is set to return to prime time TV…
Jeremy Kyle is reportedly gearing up for a TV comeback – his first since the death of a guest who appeared on his show in May.
ITV announced that The Jeremy Kyle Show had been axed after Steve Dymond, 63, was found dead on the 9th May after reportedly taking a lie detector test on the daytime show.
At the time, ITV said that they would continue to work with Jeremy on other projects, and it appears that they are sticking to their word.
According to reports, Jeremy is being lined up to host a new show in early 2020 and may even switch from daytime to the evening.
“Jeremy is a huge ratings draw and he has a great relationship with ITV, who are very keen to bring him back,” a source told The Sun.
“So it was only a matter of time. An ITV team have been told ‘find a format for Jeremy’ and that is what they are working hard to do.”
A team has reportedly been tasked with finding a new format for Jeremy.
The insider added: “It is a given that ITV bosses will learn from the findings of the committee. But they have always said that they want to work with Jeremy again, and now those plans seem to be taking shape.”

At the time of the show’s axing, ITV’s CEO, Carolyn McCall, gave a statement, announcing that the channel had made the decision to take the show off air permanently…
“Given the gravity of recent events, we have decided to end production of The Jeremy Kyle Show,” she said.
“The Jeremy Kyle Show has had a loyal audience and has been made by a dedicated production team for 14 years, but now is the right time for the show to end.
“Everyone at ITV’s thoughts and sympathies are with the family and friends of Steve Dymond."
