Jessie J storms off The Voice

Viewers are set to see a spot of drama on The Voice this Saturday when Jessie J storms off the set after a row with will.i.am.

The showdown comes during the latest battle rounds after the singer criticised the Black Eyed Peas star for making what she thought to be a poor song choice for Liam Tamne and John Pritchard as they went head to head.

"For me it was flat. I didn't hear your voices. It was the wrong song choice," she told the performers after they had sung Easy Lover - adding that the key for the song was 'too high'.

However will hit back, saying: "I don't pick songs choices to hear Jessie go, 'Great song choice'." - before leaving her even more baffled when he chooses his winner.

A stunned Jessie told him: "This is weird," before walking out of the studio and telling producers: "I don't understand what he's doing. I just need to have a moment away from him."

Will, however, appeared unpeturbed, describing her behaviour as "just Jessie being Jessie".

The action kicks off on BBC One at 7.10pm tonight, following a week's break last Saturday for Eurovision.

The show's battle rounds continue for the next two weeks ahead of the series' first live final on June 7.

Meanwhile The Voice looks set to return for a third series next year in spite of doubts being cast over its future.

Sources have suggested the BBC will confirm the news in the coming weeks - although it is unclear whether the current celebrity coaches will remain on board.

The series started off with comparatively low ratings - with just over six million tuning in to the first blind auditions show.

However it has gained ground in recent weeks since moving to a later timeslot to avoid a clash with Britain's Got Talent - with audiences steadily rising to nearer the 8m mark.
