JLS caught in management squabble
X Factor runners-up JLS are said to be furious after discovering that show mentor Louis Walsh can't be their manager. The boy band now want Louis - the man behind the success of Westlife and Boyzone - to look after them but they are tied into a deal with Modest Management, which signs all the finalists who appear on the ITV1 show. Under the terms of the contract, JLS are not allowed to sign for anyone else for three months. The X Factor source said: "JLS are so popular - they could be the new Blue with a sexier, cooler edge to them. "They need to be managed by someone who cares about them and Louis really does. "The boys are really desperate to go with Louis and he just wants to get them signed up and recording. But at the moment, Modest are refusing to let them go." Record label Sony BMG signs the show's winner and has first refusal on the other finalists. It's been revealed that JLS - Oritse Williams, 21, Marvin Humes, 23, Jonathan Gill, 21, and Aston Merrygold, 20 - scored 41.6 per cent of Saturday's final votes. Winner Alexandra got 58.3 per cent. The insider added: "Although she had a comprehensive win, JLS still had a hefty amount of the eight million votes cast on the night." Get exclusive access to your favourite stars.
