Joanna Page rules out Gavin and Stacey reunion
Joanna Page has ruled out a return to Gavin And Stacey.
The Welsh actress, who played Stacey opposite Mathew Horne's Gavin on the BBC sitcom, said there are no current plans to revive the programme, which ended in January 2010.
"I think it's the end. It feels like it is still going on because it is repeated all the time," she told Radio Times. "But it finished in 2009, it finished ages ago. When we finished we said this is the end. We are not going to do any more. As far as we are concerned that is it."
Ruth, who co-wrote the show with James Corden and also starred as Stacey's friend Nessa in the series, previously told Radio Times that she would "definitely" join forces once more with James, who played Smithy.
"We haven't any concrete plans but we will at some stage," she said. "It might be a Gavin And Stacey special or it might be a film."
Set in Barry Island and Billericay, Gavin And Stacey ran for three series, consisting of 20 episodes, from May 2007 to January 2010.
Joanna, who is mother to daughter Eva with actor husband James Thornton, said people still recognise her as Stacey despite the work she has done since the show ended. She portrayed Elizabeth I in the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special, The Day Of The Doctor, in 2013.

"I think I will always be seen as this small blonde 20-year-old even in my 50s," she admitted. "I will be like Felicity Kendal [is now]."
It was also confirmed on Monday that James Corden will be taking over as host of popular US chat programme, The Late Late Show.
The CBS network announced he will take over next year from Scottish star Craig Ferguson, who has been in the hot seat for the programme since 2005.
James - who stepped down as the host of the Brit Awards earlier this year - said: "I can't wait to get started."
