Actor John Barrowman has received hospital treatment after being injured on stage during a pantomime performance in Glasgow. John - who was seen on TV most recently in Torchwood and US drama Arrow - reportedly fell from a horse while starring in Jack and the Beanstalk at the city's SECC Clyde auditorium. His injuries were not thought to be serious. A spokeswoman for the production said: "During today's matinee performance of Jack And The Beanstalk, John Barrowman suffered an injury on stage and has been taken to hospital as a precaution. His understudy has stepped in to finish the rest of the show. The spokeswoman added that the actor had been "a little bit bruised" in the fall. It remains unclear whether he will return to the show, which is due to finish its run on Saturday. John has been starring in the show opposite The Krankies - who suffered a similar experience in 2004 when Janette Tough, aka Jimmy Krankie, fell from the beanstalk prop while appearing in a production at Glasgow's Pavilion Theatre. The 62-year-old performer sustained a fractured skull in the accident. The pair later returned to panto in Glasgow in 2010, once again starring alongside John Barrowman in a production of Aladdin, while they also appeared together in Robinson Crusoe in 2011.
