Jonathan Ross: 'When Liam and Noel are ready to talk, we're here for them!'
Get ready for more fun, frolics and celebrity gossip as motormouth host Jonathan Ross welcomes more famous faces onto his sofa for laughter, music and chat...
Jonathan Ross is never lost for words - but even he's genuinely surprised that his chatshow is back for its 15th series this Saturday.
"I can't believe I'm still doing this full stop," admits Jonathan, 58. "I've had a rollercoaster of a career but people still like watching talk shows. I suspect that's why I’m still here."
Guests on this week's first show are Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery and Elizabeth McGovern, actor Martin Freeman, TV personality Stephen Fry and R&B star Craig David. Music comes from Charlie XCX featuring Christine & The Queens.
Later in the series, Jonathan welcomes, among others, TV chef Gordon Ramsay and former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher.
"I always love having people like Ramsay on the show; big characters you can really engage with and be playful with," he says. "I never worry about hurting his feelings. Ramsay's there to have a go at – he's like a cat-scratching pole for the nation!
"I've met Liam socially and I’m sort of friends with his brother Noel, who knows I know Liam but they NEVER talk about each other. So that’s gonna be interesting."

And he doesn't see Liam and Noel ever wanting to appear on the show together.
"I strongly suspect that's not going to happen and what I certainly wouldn’t ever do is surprise them," says Jonathan. "What I think we’d probably do is let them know that, if and when they're ready to do something together, we’re here for them."
Jonathan's never been disappointed with any of his guests from over the past 14 series.
"It rarely happens that they don't deliver and, to be honest, if they don't deliver then that’s my fault," he says. "My job is to make it work."
Jonathan likens working out which guests will gel on the show to organising a seating plan at a wedding...
"It's very much like that," he says, "and I'm the father of the bride who's paying for it but who no one wants to sit next to because he’s a bit grumpy!"
The Jonathan Ross Show returns on Saturday September 14th at 10.15pm on ITV.
