Katie Price 'splits' from Leandro Penna
Katie Price has reportedly split from Argentinian model Leandro Penna following a seven-month romance - despite recent reports that the couple planned to marry. According to the Sunday Mirror the reality TV star - also known as glamour model Jordan - told friends the language barrier between the pair had made it hard to continue the relationship. And the paper reports that after a series of 'frank and heartfelt' conversations through a translator this week Leandro, 25, has decided to move out of Katie's home and back to his native Argentina. "The truth is Leandro was homesick and felt isolated being in the UK without any of his friends or family," a source said. "He also wasn't working at all and was just under Katie's feet as she carried on with her life and career. "He decided it would be a good idea to return to Argentina and see his family, and to try and get work. She agreed that it was probably for the best, " the insider added.' "It's sad - but it's for the best that he goes home." Katie and Leandro sparked up a whirlwind romance after meeting at Elton John's Oscars party in February, shortly after she split from her second husband Alex Reid. Earlier this week he had said she was 'the woman I love and want to protect and care for' and that having a family was 'a project' they had planned. Katie, who recently launched her own self- named magazine, will return to screens later this month in her latest Sky Living show Signed.
