Kerry Katona checks into Priory
Kerry Katona has signed herself into London rehab clinic The Priory after her knife-point robbery, according to reports. The ex-Atomic Kittens singer has told friends she has been struggling to cope since the Sunday night raid on her Cheshire home, in which she was held hostage with her five-month-old daughter, Heidi, while thieves stole around £150,000 of property. According to the Sun, 26-year-old Kerry is undergoing treatment for severe depression and is likely to remain at the clinic for the next two weeks. "It has nothing to do with drugs or drinking - it is all to do with depression," a source close to the star told the newspaper. "It has obviously been triggered by what happened at her home the other night." Kerry's home was targeted by three armed men late on the night of Sunday 15 July. She was held downstairs while the men took her husband, Mark Croft, around the house looking for things to steal. Earlier, publicist Max Clifford admitted that Kerry had been very badly shaken by the incident. "When I spoke to her this morning she was in floods of tears and absolutely distraught," he said. "It was a terrifying experience. Luckily they weren't hurt, but Kerry was held at knifepoint and the robbers threatened to kill them. It was such a horrible thing to happen. They are staying with family now and I'm not sure when they will go back to the house."
