Line of Duty has been one of the most loved and hugely-watched television series' of the decade. But, with another series set to return next year - all anyone can talk about is how the drama will eventually end.
And now, Martin Compston - who plays detective sergeant Steve Arnott in Line of Duty - has confirmed writer and creator, Jed Mercurio will end it on his terms.
Unlike some TV shows, which are dragged out in order to be recommissioned, Martin said that's far from Jed's mind.
He told Digital Spy: 'I think one thing that is true with Jed, he's very clear working at the BBC that he'll end it on his terms, which is very exciting.
'We're going to get to bow out the way we want to bow out and everything will be tied up the way he wants it to be tied up, and there will hopefully be the payoffs that people want.
'Each job lives series to series hoping you get renewed, whereas I think Jed has enough credit in the bank that he'll finish it when he wants to.'

Jed is renowned for killing off some of the most popular characters. But Martin said he's not concerned about the future for Steve Arnott.
He said, 'We've done five series, so we've had a good run at it and I just trust Jed.
'He wouldn't do it for the sake of it. He'd do it because he thinks it's best for the storyline and giving your character the biggest impact. I wouldn't live in fear of, "We need another twist so Steve has to go".
Having worked alongside Vicky McClure and Adrian Dunbar for five years, Martin said he's made friends for life from the hit show.
'It would be done for the right reasons and he's given me five years of the most enjoyable job I've ever worked on with some incredible people who have become my best friends,' he explained.
