Strictly Come Dancing star Matt Di Angelo has defended the show's judges against criticism that they're not penalising some dancers for illegal moves. The EastEnders actor, 20, who dances with partner Flavia Cacace, said: "I think the judges know what they're talking about and I think that anyone who tries to tell the judges that they don't is extremely silly and maybe slightly verging on arrogant - they're trained." But he admitted he might feel differently if he gets kicked off the show this weekend. He said: "Yeah, if I get knocked out, I'll be like, 'what do they know'. Obviously you get hurt when you get knocked out, but when it comes down to it, look at Len, he knows exactly what he's talking about and says it as it is." Matt, who was speaking at the Cosmopolitan Women Of The Year Awards, with Flavia and fellow celeb dancer Gethin Jones, added that he had got some stick from his friends when he first started the show. "My mates had a go at me and that and said, 'you're going to be wearing spandex around the dancefloor', and they called me all sorts of names... I just kind of googled Flavia and said 'that's who I'm dancing with' and they were like 'dancing's all right!' "They come down and watch me and see all the other professional dancers and they're like, 'when can we get involved?'"
