Michael and Glynis step off Stepping Out
Michael Brandon and Glynis Barber became the second couple to be given the boot from ITV's dance show Stepping Out on Saturday night.
The acting duo - better known as 80s crimefighters Dempsey and Makepeace - lost out on a semi-final place after their cha cha cha failed to strike a chord either with viewers or the judging panel.
While Glynis won praise from the panel for her efforts, Michael wasn't quite so lucky - with Jason Gardiner telling him he looked as if 'his leg had fallen off'.
The pair were beaten to the last remaining place in the semi by boxer Carl Froch and his girlfriend Rachael Fordingley, whose rumba won them their highest score so far.
Lawrence Llewellyn-Bowen and wife Jackie, Westlife's Brian McFadden and wife Vogue Williams and JLS's Oritse Williams and other half AJ Azari also made it through.
Next Saturday's show will see the remaining four couples perform two routines each - one of which will be a 'partner swap' routine which will see them dance with another contestant's spouse.
Meanwhile the show saw a boost in its ratings in the absence of Strictly Come Dancing, which returns on September 27 and 28.
