Neighbours fans were left stunned when Elly slept with her fiancé's sister just hours before saying 'I do' to now husband Mark Brennan.
And while Elly and Mark's future was uncertain when the fling happened, the truth still hit Mark like a ton of bricks when it was revealed on his wedding day to Elly.
Since then the pair have managed to patch up their marriage with the news that they're going to have a baby... but as Neighbours fans know, the story doesn't end there.
Viewers have seen Elly get herself tied up in one of the most complicated web of lies Erinsborough has ever seen after getting pregnant following a one night stand with Finn Kelly's brother, Shaun.
But Mark is still in the dark about the fact he's not the father of Elly's baby, and she has been going to unthinkable lengths to try and keep her baby lie hidden, desperate to make Mark think he is the dad of her baby to keep their marriage safe.
However, nothing stays hidden in Ramsay Street for long, and the truth about Elly's lies are bound to come out eventually. However actress Jodi Anasta is convinced that Elly wouldn't find herself alone if her and Mark were to break up...
When asked in an interview with Digital Spy whether Neighbours writers would revisit the romance between Elly and Chloe, the actress certainly thought it was on the cards... "I think that it would be stupid not to!
"I loved the connection that Chloe and Elly have as characters. It's still an option. I think, for the main part, Elly has made all of these bad decisions because she, in a way, fell for Chloe.
"Elly has found herself in this predicament where she doesn't really understand what's going on. I think it's maybe time for Elly to think about that and figure out what she wants from life - if Chloe is that person, or just her friend. At the very least I know they'll be good friends, if not more."
