Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist - a great movie to watch with friends
Couch Potato Pickings
So, you've invited friends round for a bottle of vino and a movie.
You've selected the wine and cooked up some nibbles, but now you have to decide what film to watch.
Now, you don't want something so absorbing that nobody utters a word for 90 minutes. You might as well watch the movie on your own.
Nor do you want something so complex that everyone dozes off - always a danger with wine involved I find.
And, of course you shouldn't select something so dull that everyone chats over it.
No, you want one of those films you can dip in and out of without losing the plot.

Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist is just this movie. It's the story of two youngsters - Nick and Norah - who are thrown together over the course of one single eventful evening while searching for a secret rock concert in New York. After getting to know the characters, it's perfectly possible to dip in and out of their various adventures as you chat among yourselves.
This film will trigger conversation too, I bet - particularly the scene with the dropped phone...
Also, the characters are really likeable and rounded. And how refreshing to see young men who aren't driven by stereotypical male rivalry and bravado for a change.
Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist is showing on Sky Movies Premiere on 29th March at 5.45pm, and at various times throughout the week.
