Strictly Come Dancing's Oti Mabuse insists co-star Cheryl 'should be' on THIS show
The pro-dancer says fans would 'love' the Geordie star
They're currently working together as judges on new BBC dance show The Greatest Dancer, and professional dancer Oti Mabuse has now backed her co-star Cheryl to take on the glitterball and appear on Strictly Come Dancing.
The South African-born dancer, 28, has insisted that Cheryl compete on the BBC dance show, as viewers would get to see 'another side' to the former Girls Aloud singer.
"I would love to see her try. I think if she did Strictly, people would love her and see another side that they haven’t seen yet. She would be brilliant," Oti explained to The Sun.
It comes after Oti admitted she almost missed out on working alongside the superstar, as she contemplated turning down the opportunity due to a hectic touring schedule.
She said: "My agent called me and said, 'There’s this pilot for a dance show and they want you to be a judge.' I just rolled my eyes... and he was like, 'Babe, this is huge. It’s with Matthew Morrison and Cheryl.'"
Luckily, the pro-dancer decided to take the job, and has now formed a great friendship with mum-of-one Cheryl.

"We’re generally getting to know each other and there’s something about her that I love. I feel like once she lets you in she kind of takes care of you like a sister," she added.
And despite claims of their being frostiness between the two ladies on set, Cheryl also had a lot of good things to say about Oti.
Hitting back at the rumours, a spokesperson for the 35-year-old singer said: "It’s a fabricated story - yet again trying to pit female against female on a TV show.
"It’s a shame we haven’t moved past this. Cheryl absolutely loves working with Oti and has a brilliant relationship with her."
It's nice to know they've got each other's backs!
