Blooper show It'll Be Alright On The Night is apparently making a comeback - with Paul Merton as its new host. The show, which aired funny out-take clips from TV programmes, was hosted for 30 years by Denis Norden, who wrote his own gags. But it came to an end when he retired at the age of 84. ITV bosses have said they would like Have I Got News For You panellist Paul to take over as presenter, according to The Sun. "While it often only aired once a year, It'll Alright On The Night was one of ITV's highest rating shows. We want to bring it back and Paul has agreed to do it," an insider is reported to have said. The show was the first dedicated to bloopers and triggered an entire genre that includes Auntie's Bloomers and Out-Take TV.
