Pointless to celebrate its 1000th episode
It's been announced that Pointless been recommissioned until the end of 2017, which means the afternoon quiz show will celebrate an incredible 1,000 episodes later this year.
Richard Osman and his “TV husband” Alexander Armstrong have been signed up for another 165 daytime episodes, which will see them sail past the milestone.

In addition, there will also be 45 more celebrity episodes, which by our calculations – at 8 celebrities an episode – means the challenge is now on to find 360 famous faces for the primetime edition.
Alex said he couldn’t even express how “exciting” the news was.
“I imagine it’s probably fairly obvious how much we love making it – but to pass the 1,000th episode mark is a great tribute to a show that so many people work so hard on. Long may it prosper!” he said.
