The Voice coach Ricky Wilson says his girlfriend, Lesley, is helping to keep his feet on the ground by searching out insults about him on Twitter.
The Kaiser Chiefs frontman told the Daily Mirror that he and his girlfriend of five years would look for negative tweets about his appearances on the BBC singing contest.
He admitted: "She's delighted when someone calls me a ginger c**k."
Ricky, who has replaced The Script's Danny O'Donoghue on the panel, said it had taken him a little while to feel that being on the show wouldn't harm his reputation.
He said: "It took me two years to think it was a good idea. That's the problem with the 'alternative' world - you think of all that can go wrong not the one huge benefit. Some people would think I'm a ginger c**k even if I ended all war."
