Strictly Come Dancing contestant Ruth Langsford joked she “looked like a baby elephant” as she leapt into her professional dance partner’s arms during the launch show.
Ruth, 57, discovered she will dance with Anton Du Beke during Saturday’s launch show of the BBC1 hit.
Following host Tess Daly’s announcement of their partnering, Ruth and Du Beke embraced – with Ruth enthusiastically throwing her legs around him.
She told ITV’s Loose Women: “And then I didn’t know how to get down. I looked like a baby elephant and then Bruno (Tonioli) went like this ‘Oohhh’.”
The This Morning presenter said her new partner was “such good fun, he’s a brilliant dancer and fantastic teacher”.
She had previously said she would “rub up next to anything I can” in a bid to make her husband Eamonn Holmes jealous.
