Sarah Connor returns in the first Terminator: Dark Fate trailer
Sarah Connor, the original T-800, and a few other Termiantors with some major upgrades are back
• The first trailer for the highly anticipated Terminator: Dark Fate just came out.
• It sees the return of Sarah Connor and the original T-800.
• The protagonist, Grace, appears to have some special abilities of her own.
• The movie is directed by Tim Miller and produced by James Cameron.
They're back.
After nearly 30 years, Sarah Connor and the original T-800 are finally getting back together to kick some Terminator ass. At least that's what we see in the first trailer for Tim Miller's Terminator: Dark Fate .
The latest Terminator movie is essentially retconning every movie after Terminator 2: Judgement Day and will focus on the two main stars of that film, Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor and Arnold Schwarzenegger as the T-800 Terminator. However, there appears to be a few new menacing Terminators with some nifty upgrades.
The other protagonist, Grace (played by Mackenzie Davis) appears to be a Terminator of sorts that can self-heal and do some of her own ass kicking. However, she appears to be siding with the humans, though we are not given a reason for this.
Lastly is a next-gen Terminator (played by Gabriel Luna) who carries all of the abilities of the T-1000 and then some, having the ability to seemingly multiply. It also doesn't hurt that he comes in a slick, gunmetal finish that looks pretty cool.
The end goal seems to be to save Dani Ramos (played by Natalia Reyes) who appears to be the new Sarah Connor. We're not given a reason for it, but we assume she'll have a child that will lead the resistance of humans against the Terminator army.
In any case, the new trailer does a great job of setting up the new movie without giving us any spoilers.
