See us at the Merge Festival – 60 Years, 60 Iconic Images

TV Times cordially invites you to its 60th anniversary exhibition of 60 very special pictures from the magazine’s unrivalled archives.

These exclusive pictures, many previously unseen, and shot by Britain's best photographers - David Bailey, Cecil Beaton and Patrick Lichfield among them - take us on a unique journey through Britain’s life and TV Times, taking in the biggest names in film, television, music and sport.

The 60 images include candid portraits of The Beatles, Muhammad Ali, Morecambe and Wise, Michael Caine, George Best, Dame Judi Dench, Alfred Hitchcock, and many more.

Curated by TV Times editorial team, the exhibition will take place in and around the magazine’s current home, the award-winning Blue Fin Building on London’s South Bank

The exhibition runs from September 17 to October 18, 10am-7pm. Admission is free and an audio guide to the exhibition is available.

Featuring exclusive shots of some of the biggest names in rock and pop – including The Beatles, Kate Bush, James Brown, The Doors and The Small Faces – Interplay is a unique collection of special images from the TV Times archive.

Patrick McLennan

Patrick McLennan is a London-based journalist and documentary maker who has worked as a writer, sub-editor, digital editor and TV producer in the UK and New Zealand. His CV includes spells as a news producer at the BBC and TVNZ, as well as web editor for Time Inc UK. He has produced TV news and entertainment features on personalities as diverse as Nick Cave, Tom Hardy, Clive James, Jodie Marsh and Kevin Bacon and he co-produced and directed The Ponds, which has screened in UK cinemas, BBC Four and is currently available on Netflix. 

An entertainment writer with a diverse taste in TV and film, he lists Seinfeld, The Sopranos, The Chase, The Thick of It and Detectorists among his favourite shows, but steers well clear of most sci-fi.
