Sex And The City movie gets green light
Brace yourselves ladies, it seems that the long-awaited Sex And The City movie is finally set to go ahead. Movie bosses are apparently gearing up to shoot a feature-length film based on the long-running US series, following months of speculation. And Variety reports that the show's four main stars - Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon - are all set to reprise their roles. So far there are no details about a plot, but it's expected to start shooting later this year. The film will apparently be brought to the big screen by New Line Cinema, with Michael Patrick King set to direct. Sarah Jessica, who played stylish journalist Carrie Bradshaw, will also help produce. Sex And The City fans have been calling for a film version since the hit series ended in 2004. Although there have been many rumours about a movie being in the works, it never got off the ground, reportedly because of tension among the stars.
