Kim, who will edit the Monday, September 14 edition, is set to focus on choosing a life without children. She will also discuss themes of ageing, being single later in life and loss.

OBE recipient Michelle will appear on Thursday, September 17, and will look at a range of topics, among them: barriers to employment and business opportunities in deprived areas, mentoring, how the mind, body and career are linked and the psychology of weight loss and dating in the 21st Century for over 40s.

“I absolutely love Woman’s Hour and it is a real honour to be asked to be guest editor, we have four amazing topics to discuss and I can’t wait to get started,” she said.

“Their knowledge and expertise on a diverse range of subjects offers a starting point for discussions which we hope will resonate with our listeners.”

In 2014 other guest editors included Harry Potter author JK Rowling and Olympic athlete Dame Kelly Holmes.
